Semantic Web - prevalence

Like all innovation technologies Semantic Web undergoes evolution: at first everything is developed in research laboratories, then it gets an Open Source encouragement of community, then a little specialized start up appears and at last technology starts receiving wide support from the side of business. Remember, the classical Worldwide Web was initially developed in the Center of High Energies Physics.
At present time Semantic Web is more often used by both small and big companies. Oracle, IBM, Adobe, Software AG, or Northrop Grumman – are only few of big corporations which have already used this technology and which sell both instruments and entire business solutions. Big applied fields, such as Medicine and Science about Man are interested in means of data integration represented by Semantic Web.
